1002 New York is a new construction on an empty infill lot in the Cooper Young neighborhood of Midtown Memphis. Self-described as “Historically Hip,” Cooper Young is a welcoming community centrally located in Midtown Memphis. Known for its walkability, residents enjoy an eclectic mix of century-old homes, family-owned businesses, as well as a thriving arts and entertainment district. The Cooper Young Festival held each Fall is one of Memphis’s most well-attended outdoor events.
We purchased the lot for just under $90,000 and hired a local home designer with extensive experience working in the Cooper Young area. Together, we created a home with an open, modern floorplan that also has a turn of the century aesthetic that blends well with surrounding homes. 1002 New York has ~2500 sf, 4 bedrooms (one of which can be used as a second living area or home office), 3.5 baths, an open kitchen/living area, and covered patio perfect for entertaining. Completed on time and under budget, this home sold within a week of completion for $370,000, which represents an approximate 16% ROI.Be Social:
